October Book Club: We by Yevgeny Zamyatin

Join us for our October book club discussion of We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. For this meeting, we’ll be reading and discussing Zamyatin’s 1921 dystopian novel, a foundational work that helped shape the genre for generations of readers and writers.

Set in a controlled future society where individuality is treated as a threat, We raises questions about freedom, conformity, surveillance, imagination, and what it means to be fully human. Readers are welcome to come ready to share their thoughts, favorite passages, questions, and reflections from the reading.

Meetings take place at Addison’s on the last Wednesday of each month, unless it interferes with a holiday, from 7 to 8:30 pm. The cost is $5, and attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drinks. If you would like to participate, read the book and join us!
