December Book Club: Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut

Join us for our December book club discussion of Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. For this meeting, we’ll be reading and discussing Vonnegut’s 1969 novel, a landmark work of American literature that blends satire, science fiction, memory, and the lasting effects of war.

Centered on Billy Pilgrim and his experience of time, trauma, and survival, Slaughterhouse-Five invites conversation about fate, free will, absurdity, grief, and how people make meaning after devastating experiences. Readers are welcome to come ready to share their thoughts, favorite passages, questions, and reflections from the reading.

Meetings take place at Addison’s on the last Wednesday of each month, unless it interferes with a holiday, from 7 to 8:30 pm. The cost is $5, and attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drinks. If you would like to participate, read the book and join us!
